Leadership Skill #2: How to Motivate Others

By harveyrobbins | October 13, 2007

files.jpgMotivation:  You don’t have to do cartwheels down the hallway or have pom-poms hanging in your office to motivate people to get the outcomes you want.  This sound bite gives you a quick and easy strategy to use to get people motivated “internally”.  Hint:  remember all those “to do” lists you complain about…but do?

    Hello Harvey:

I attended your one-hour session at the Project Management Institute yesterday on “Versatility” and wondering whether you would share a copy of your materials with me. I am building a brand new team at Cargill, and would find it useful to understand how best to interact with others based on their work styles, especially since I am a Driver. Loved your story about landscaping, shared it with my husband who is also an Expressive, who was grinning from ear to ear at your story.

    Thanks,
    Heidi Evanson

I am very interested in the chart of personality types.
Best presentation of the day for me.
